True that. Being a man, I can relate to that. However, why is it that most...not all, but most women won't come right out and say what's on their mind?
For example, If a woman has a birthday coming up, she'll pull out the jewelry brochures and look for hours at them while the husband is doing something else. Or she'll talk about this pretty ring etc...she just saw in some store...etc. The woman usually will take this as having dropped a "hint" to the man about what to buy. The man takes it as small-talk and dis-regards it almost immediately.
Why not instead, just come right out and say what it is you want? What's the problem in doing that and why don't most women do that instead of dropping little "hints" and trying to be subtle?
I mean the vast majority of men haven't the slightest notion of what subtlety is.
And to be honest, If your husband just happens to storm into the house one bright sunny day and acts all pissed off, can you really say that you'd know exactly what it was that got him that way?

If I always buy her what she tells me she wants, why do I have to go to the store in the first place. Why don't I just give her the money and say here you go.
I like to put some thought into the gift and think that it was me that came up with something special. I feel it will mean more than just buying her what she wants. Then to find that gift that you feel is truly special is very difficult so sometimes we ask others so we can get their ideas. I would think women would appreciate the trouble a man takes to bring her a gift he picked out, even if it is not what she said she wants.

Guys are clueless about that stuff... Hell your luck if he can remember that you even have a birthday or anerversary.
If you have a guy that at least knows what month anythings is suppose to happen. Well you got a good guy!
If you have a guy that knows that day anything is suppose to happen on.. Well you got a great guy.
Chicka if your married just go out and get it with his credit card yourself!
Hell once you get married most guys stop all that flowers and candy crap anyway. It's like they already got the milk... No need in romancing the cow. (Why buy the cow when you can get the milk for free!)
And telling them doesn't work... You got to drag them to the store and push them in... These are men we are talking about!

Okay first of all to answer your question...no, we're not all that dumb. As long as you are actually friends with your girlfriend and not just two strangers joined at the hip you should be fine. It's really simple. Guy meets girl, guy likes girl, guy makes girl happy, girl being happy makes guy happy, guy continues action so that both are happy. There are problems that can arise from your perfect caring guy scenario though. For example a guy who's more sensitive to your emotions might just be all that more easier to piss off. Good luck on your hunt and believe me we're not all the same.

Look, guys don't have a clue. Whether they are 20, 30, 50, 100. They forget birthdays, anniversaries, "our song," our dress size. However, they don't forget the measurements of their fav playboy model, the NFL lineup, Jeff Gordon's career stats, how long it took you to get ready last weekend, names of past girlfriends or at least who had the biggest ta tas, their children's birth month (but not day), that they have to take the car in for a tune-up on Monday (but they'll forget about their dentist appointment on Wednesday), yada, yada. But who cares? You just go ahead and make plans for your birthday and ask him for money to buy some perfume. Or have him take you to Victoria's Secret and help you pick out a sexy nightie.

Wow! As a man I feel really bad now! We men do think differently, and in many ways we are 12 year olds! We have to be taught how a woman thinks and what she needs! For some of us by the time we learn it we are way too old for most women!
I'm not kidding, most of us are in a different world than women!

Before you start going off like that about men, you need to think about women. Yes, I do admit that I have a pretty bad memory, but that is only because I have a whole lot on my mind. Yes, I do forget things that my lady says sometimes, and that does make her angry, but her anger agitates me just as well. She, and I am sure you as well, forgets just as much about your men as they forget about you. Only difference is that women don't have any problems yelling about it. Men will normally just remind you of an important event to them, or just take the stupid gift graciously and act like it was just right. I think men, including myself, should start voicing our frustrations more. Maybe THAT would help you get off you freaking high horse. I AM TIRED OF THAT KIND OF CRAP.

Don't be so hard on guys. We tic differently. Women focus on details, that's part of a woman. Men typically are not as detail oriented. I can tell you that woman can also miss the mark in this area big time.

Geeez, Sasha. Let's take a look at who on this website asking a majority of the type of questions you point out. Holy Cow! It's women! Grow up and stop thinking that women are "better". There are men that are stupid, and there are women that are stupid.
