You should call your practioner's office or L&D if they are not available. The reason I say this is that although there is a chance it wasn't your water, there is a good chance that it is your waters. And if it is, the Dr.'s generally want to hold a baby in their arms within 36 hrs of the water breaking (give or take depending on philosophy of your practitioner and whether you are using an FP, OB or CNM).
Even if you are 40 wks (35 wks and they will want to see you in hospital ASAP b/c they'll want to check to see if its your waters, and if it is you have to deal with the additional complications of being early), if you don't go into labor naturally after breaking your bag of waters, the baby is exposed to infection, hence why the Dr.'s will want to have that baby delivered within a certain timeframe.
They will probably send you into L&D, take a sample of fluids and check to see if there is any "ferning" in the sample, which would indicate the presence of amniotic fluid. If they verify it was your waters, and you don't go into labor for a certain period of time, they will want to induce.
Either way, term or pre-term, the possibility of your water breaking is something that needs to be checked out immediately, even more so if you are pre-term.
Good luck!

No contractions? Sounds like you had the ultimate climax called the G-Spot which has a gush of clear fluid...Enjoy because most people go through their lives never experiencing it.

It could have been several things. The two most likely suspects are the bag of waters has ruptured and urine. Either way just run by your OB's office and they can check with a simple test. They use a swab or paper (similar to litmus) to check the fluid.
Do not delay if it was your bag of waters then you may need to be induced to prevent the baby and yourself being open to oportunistic infections.
Good luck

No that's not normal. Your water is probably broken, or torn and you should go to the hospital immediately. They amniotic fluid could leak out slowly- and this will hurt your baby! Not to scare you but it is very dangerous to have leaking amniotic fluid and the baby could be in danger. Go now.

it sounds like you may have broken your water as it sounds like way too much fluid. Please go to your doctor today, soon, because if it was indeed your amniotic sac that is either leaking or ruptured, the safe period is 24 hours, and after that, infection can develop in your uterus. SO, it is very important you see your doctor today. Good luck, sweetie :-)
It is possible your water did not break but please get checked out asap :-)

If it happens yesterday, when you go to the bathroom are you always wet, are your undies always wet??
It could be, sounds gross, but it could be just urine.. When i was about 35 weeks with my first i was sitting watching TV and chatting with friends and when i stood up i was soaked it was just that i had wet myself and didn't know it and that is very normal. It is from all the pressure is putting on your bladder.

go straight to the hospital and tell them what happened because i would say that your water broke, and secondly you don't have to have contractions for your water to break or for them to happen soon after it has broken.
Good Luck and Take Care
