I was told to try oil of evening primrose. I have the same prob. I go up a dress size at that time of the month and it's all but impossible not to burst into tears - Does not look good at work!! Have just started taking tranexamic acid to slow my bleeding as I usually lose in one day twice the amount of blood the average woman loses during one period. Not good! Aquaban might help with the water retention. I hope you find something to help x

crush a piece of ginger or use 1 teaspoon fine ginger powder in a cup of hot water. add honey if u like, sip while warm. it calms the stomach.
The best thing you can do (i was advised by a pharmacist years ago and by many others since, cause i sometimes got my periods so bad i couldnt stand up out of bed!) is to drink lots of liquids, fresh water in particular, 2 litres per day, not just when u have your periods. start by making this a habit, take care, Wisdom.

If you are really good at it you will be asked to stay at home for a day or two. However if you become an expert they may ask you to stay away for a year or longer!

alot of women have been helped by taking black cohosh. Or increasing your intake of soy products which contain some natural estrols that help control the hormonal swings that can occur with menstruation.

I haven't seen that one. Is it the sequel to Raging Bull, which is a fantastic film. I'm not sure your reaction to it is normal though. Perhaps you should stick to light comedies or romantic films.
