If you mean for hire, you must be at least 21, and possess the correct valid class license.
If that license required is more than a class "C", then you will also need a DOT physical, and proof of acceptability (green card).
If the vehicle is combination (truck, tractor and trailer) then combination vehicle endorsement is required.
If you carry hazardous materials, you must possess that endorsement.
If the vehicle has air brakes, then that endorsement is also required.
Don't really need much.

if you need to at least 21 years of age for a company to hire you. but to be honest about is they really like to see 23 years of age and some over the road experience and most of the don't consider driver in one state over the road. but if you need a good company to go to here is one that might take you and if you need to go to school they have one and that is: Central Refrigerated Service out of Salt Lake City, UT here is there website: www.centralref.com
