Ok, first off now that the women have spoken and said it is to eliminate panty lines. Only a few hinted at the real reason why women still wear them and have not fallen out of style. The answer is because men like them and we love them because they are erotic and sexy and women tend to think they are functional. So, before the women that read this and the guys that really act like women read this, think about it. It's the same for men, why do men work out, get highlights and put on cologne or wear a pink shirt that some marketing genius decided would be called salmon; so men wouldn't feel insecure or less manly for wearing pink. We do this to attract the opposite sex or same sex depending on what team you are batting for. So basically next time your girl picks out that "Salmon" colored shirt for you to wear then maybe you should buy her a pink thong to match.

Thongs were actually made so a woman did not have panty lines when wearing pants. But these days women wear thongs for supposed sexiness. G- strings were made for strippers. But as you can tell, women walking down the street wear them now.
I can't stand the feel of them. If I wore them, I would constantly feel like I need to pick them out of my behind.

I have wore thongs since I was like 14 yrs old. I can't stand to wear regular underware and don't know if I'll ever do it. I mostly did it a 14 to be cool but now as an adult it's what I'm use to. Some people will say that thongs feel like a string going up your a** which it does but it doesn't feel like that to me.

I don't like 'em...having a string up my butt doesn't make me feel sexy...but it does make me feel like picking at my behind.
I don't understand the appeal...although some chicks say they wear them to avoid panty lines, I simply go commando (more comfy to me).
Some do it because it helps them feel pretty/sexy (nice lingerie can do that for a girl) but those particular items don't actually look great on very many people...it takes a particular shape of butt to carry 'em off and look nice...but then how many people actually see most of us in only our undies?

no panty lines, or because the hubby likes them.
The wider the thong part, the greater feeling of wedgy.
Gstring is small, so you cant really feel them.

They're meant to eliminate panty lines, but a lot of women wear them because they (and many men, too) find them sexy. They don't feel like anything, really; it's not like you'd think (that it would feel like having a wedgie...)

i love thongs i'm used to them now so it doesn't even feel uncomfortable and definentaly you have those panty lines, how cute would it be if you see a female wearing something tight whether it be to party or wherever and you look at her a.s.s and you see a big a.s.s underwear buldging through the a.s.s of her pants or showing at the top that's not cute at all!

To keep from getting VPL (visible panty lines). If your thong fits right, you can't feel it at all.
