where is the heater to keep ice off of the coil in the freezer

It is woven into the back if the coil or across the bottom and up both sides. Depends on the age.

The heater is located in the rear of the freezer and can be accessed by removing the back panel.

No heater the frost free frig goes into a timed defrost cycle which keep ice melted. if you have a frost free frig.
