I had to have one on my cervix the other day. They told me I shouldn't have sex for a week after. Do you know why that is? I ended up fingering myself, sorry to much infor. I was wondering if that could hurt me? I did it twice, and now I have some cramps. I only waited 3 days. Please if you know why and if this could cause any problems let me know. Thanks.

I had 3 biopsies done on my cervix. 3, 6 and 9 o'clock. (positions). I believe they say you shouldn't have sex to keep the area clean...after all, they just pulled chunks of flesh out of you. It's like having an open wound on the inside. I can't see fingering bothering it though, because your finger is well, shorter, and doesn't ejaculate. (I hope you washed your hands good). Your cramps are probably just your body healing itself, but if you are concerned, visit your doctor and he can tell you for sure.

You need to give your cervix time to heal. Some women feel pelvic pain similar to period cramps after biopsy. Over-the-counter pain medication may help ease the pain, and it usually goes away within a day. occasionally the cervix becomes infected after a biopsy. If you develop a thick, smelly discharge, fever, or If the pain continues or gets worse you should contact your doctor immediately.

You don't want to bump, bruise or introduce bateria to your cut cervix for a while, so no sex. If you cause yourself to have an orgasm, you could end up cramping, but wouldn't do yourself any damage. Please also avoid going swimming or sitting in a hot tub or bathtub. Let your body heal, and take care of yourself. If you continue to spot blood, or develop any unusual or foul smell or discharge, see your doctor or nurse practitioner immediately.

They tell you that because they actually cut out a small piece of your cervix. The cramps are normal. You may cramp for several days. They tell you no sex because of the risk of infection where they made the small incision.

The cervix is the doorway to the uterus. When we orgasm it opens and closes to allow the sperm to travel upward. No sexual activity allows your cervix time to heal. They sliced off a piece of you cervix. Let it rest!

Well that's why they say doctors knows best they tell you that because your tissue is very sensitive you are usually to wait 2 weeks for penetration ask your girl or guy to pleasure you in other ways besides penetration or talk to your doctor if you cant wait that long but i think your health is way more important then an orgasm ............
