I'd go for a chalicotherium. It was about 9 feet tall, had "the shortened face of a horse, the neck of an ox, the arms and shoulders of a massive ape, the front claws of an anteater and short rear legs to support its massive bulk." I'd name him Walter.

I would take, Meganthropus, the giant Homo erectus from Java. He would make an excellent watch hominid.

That Tiger/Dog animal. Stripes on it's rear legs, brownish. I seen a picture of it in a cage. Looks pretty cool.

Microraptor or Archaeopteryx, small neat little flying animals and also very critical "links" between dinosaurs and modern avians.
