"Okay" is a fuzzy word, like big, small, good, or easy. If I say "is your computer big", I could be asking relative to the diameter of the galaxy or an atom. I could be asking relative to the computational power of a digital watch, or the NSA's largest supercomputer. I could be asking about the marketshare versus the ipod, or the super NES. Without context to make a clear, meaningful evaluation every answer is meaningless.
Lets start with legal, outside of the cultural trends driving youth culture into deep poverty, it is against the law for anyone to participate in physical intercourse with a child aged fourteen years. If you are promoting, or pursuing that, you are breaking a law.
About four percent of teens have live births per year (1). Thats one in 20. That statistic doesnt include abortions. In terms of a big thing, it is a big thing to have a baby as a mature 30 year old. It is a huge thing, and a very long-term high-cost decision either way for a 14 year old to have a baby. How do you feel about paying child support for the next 20 years, or taking care of a child for the next 20 years? Is what you are doing, the relational or biological high, worth the next 20 years of your life?
Its not unreasonable to believe that just as many teens have abortions as give live births. Can you guarantee right now that what you call "tissue" right now, you might not believe its "baby" later? Are you ready to possibly wrestle with the idea that you, or someone else killed your first baby, and have to deal with that for the rest of your life?
The causes of teen pregnancy are also the causes of teen venerial diseases. Is it okay if you get AIDS or another one of the HUNDREDS of incurably sexually transmitted diseases? If you are a woman, and you get vaginal warts, its asymptomatic, and there is a 40% co-occurence of cervical cancer. Are you ready to face the real possibility that as an adult you may need to have a significant part of your female anatomy removed so you dont die of cancer? Are you ready to make the decisions about a high probability of giving your future children the diseases you catch? Chlamidia blinds some babies. Is it okay to not think about giving your future spouse or children herpes because your protection was 99% effective and 1% totally useless?
Are you in a mature enough position where you can think about those things? If you are there, then you are ready to ask about biological maturity.
Sometimes the hardware is working before that age, sometimes its working after. The body is not fully developed in men until 22-24, and women until 18-20. If you are using it before its fully done, you can overload it, or harm it. Sometimes that means that its not ready for pregnancy and there is serious bone-loss and shattering later on in life. Sometimes that means that it can be very painful, and the scarring influences future pleasure for the worse. Sometimes it doesnt mean as much.
These are big questions, and very vague questions for someone to be asking. You mind is on this subject, but you should think this through long and hard before you put your body working on this subject. Do not commit a crime. Dont think about commiting a crime. Be a caring human being, for yourself and your partner, and wait until you are both fully emotionally mature, and fully financially capable of working all the way through these huge decisions. Until you have lived 20 years, you shouldnt make 20 year commitments, or put yourself in a place where you have a 1 in 10 chance of having to wrestle with issues that are bigger than 20 years.

Okay first of all if your going to refer to having sex as 'doing it' then your clearly not mature enough to make a decision about sex. Second why rush it you've only been with him a year and he's already gotten one girl pregnant. If he really loves you than it won't matter whether or not you have sex. Third at 14 you shouldn't need to be asking us whether or not you should use a condom if you do decide to have sex. You should always use a condom no matter how irregular your period may be. Fourth getting on birth control at such a young age could actually stunt your growth process because you are pumping extra hormones into your body. If you do decide to get on the pill then you should ask for the one with the least estrogen as higher level ones increase your risk of stroke even at a young age. I personally from reading what you wrote don't think that you are ready. You are still so young and although you might want too you probably won't end up staying with your current boyfriend for the rest of your life. So why don't you save it for when your at in age where the person your dating very well could end up being your future husband. And if he tries to use a line like well everyone else has. You can tell him that I'm a 21 year old college student and I still haven't : ) So there is nothing wrong with waiting.

It was acceptable 50 years ago...my grandmother was married when she was 14. Nowadays, there are too many other opportunities for women. They can have a career and take care of themselves. And because there are so many opportunities for young women that 14 year old girl should keep her pants on and focus on being a kid. Having a child would rob that 14 year old of their childhood - you can't get that time back.

I would definately wait if you're just 14! Be a kid for awhile longer and leave the adult stuff until later, you won't regret it, you'll feel better about yourself and have more respect for your g/f or b/f also. I've seen too many 15/16 yr old girls pushing baby strollers so please wait on the sex until your more mature and can deal with it emotionally.

dear omkar,
every thing in life has a specific age. no a person cannot have sex before or on age of 14. it is always recommended that you should become an adult.
in vedas it is clearly mentioned that the persons who abide the rule later have to meet dangerous consequences. age of 14 is a age of wilderness and excitment. controlling them is very necessary.

Absolutely not, end of story. You should wait a few years (at LEAST until you are 18) since sex carries a lot of risks and responsibilites.
