Where there any historical conditions for that?

Men and women are not equal. There are physical and psychological differences. What you should be asking is how can women acheive equal pay and equal rights. Historically, all advances in rights have involved struggle. The civil rights movement lost many in that struggle. Woman's suffrage is the history of women obtaining the right to vote. And I believe we had a civil war!

I think the feminists did a lot for advancing women's rights. I think many today are still working for good causes, but I also think there are some out there today that just find glory in bashing men at any chance they can get. Some feminists just don't understand why any woman would want to stay home and be a home-maker instead of taking on the world of commerce while their kids go to day care and get raised by strangers. If a woman wants to work, that's great and she should be treated as equal, but if she doesn't, she shouldn't be made to feel like a failure or someone who's being dominated by male society. There's a balance in there somewhere that needs to be achieved.

i think so yes, the basis i use for my answer is say slavery. there are not any more areas where slavery is a major part of life. there are "slaves" in some places but there are more just slaves as a name rather than practice. slavery went out of style so to speak and was just no longer practiced. and i refer to places in Africa and the middle east where slavery was practiced most often. using that assumption it is possible to say that the struggle for equality will also pass away and men and women will be equal, and the struggle will be thought of as another historical study.

In my most honest opinion...no. Women's rights may have even been better served without extreme feminism. But I will not discount all of the advances made by the struggles of feminist groups and individuals, so don't make me out to be the proverbial "sexist man pig" that so often happens to the male population.

Ummmm...define feminism. If you are referring to the simple idea of equal pay, sexual and physical protection, then, yes, feminism is great. If your talking about man-hating, arrogance, female chauvinism, and sexism, then find another woman. I'm no hypocrite. I don't practice what I oppose, like today's feminists!!

P.S. Men & women should be striving for equity NOT equality. There's a WORLD of difference there.

P.S x 2 You sure are asking 1,000 questions!! lol lol

Equality hasn't been achieved yet! If you don't believe me, look at how many women are in the government or on the boards of large corporations

I have a hard time addressing any issues concerning inequality. I am a project manager in the construction field. I enjoy working with my men and they respect me and we have good work day together. There have been men who have an attitude about me being on the jobsite, but they are the ones with the problem. My guys make me feel welcome and they know I will treat them fairly.

Feminism went out in the 70's. Women shouldn't strive to be equal, and they should stop comparing themselves with men. Women should strive to be better!
