I intend to travel in Philippines, arriving at Clark for three weeks. This would be during the week preceding Holy Week to the week after. Can you suggests places to visit and things to see?

And yes, guesthouses and accomodation at the price of 400 pesos?

If you pay only P400 pesos for an accomidation in the Philippines, you will not get much sleep.

I stayed in one place in Makati City that was P900. Its pretty good.

there are lots of places to visit there.I've been there already and most of the places i visited there are quite nice. I dont think there would be a decent average place there for 400 during those weeks. The hotels there are full becuase of the tourist both foreign and locals. anyway you can try these.. I found these pages quite interesting... and try the links found in these pages. I bought my plane ticket and booked a hotel reservation online and found the sites thru the search box in these pages. I forgot the sites, just use the search box and click on the first 3 (top 3) from the search results. Google arrange them i think from the most visited ones to the least and chances are the most visited ones has the cheapest. compare prices first.

My experiences in the Philippines in 2001 and 2003...prices in Ermita for 700 - 800 were simple, some clean, many not clean....for 250, very small and hot...for 1500, quite nice...in Davao on Mindanao, for 550, a clean room with TV and air con at the Sychar Hotel....not bad a t all...in Cagayan de Oro....places downtown were about 700-900 and fine but noisy.....but the best place was this really nice resort complex called Coconut Bay Beach Resort, where you had your nice, air-con...hut...and extremely quiet and just 15 drive from downtown...
