be his friend and remember that his mood can change at the drop of a hat. if he takes his meds like he should there is not much mood swings but if he goes off the meds it is a nightmare. some of the meds will make him so tired he may not be able to stay awake. i have a friend with bi-polar and now that he stopped using meth he stays on his pills and he is a great guy, but off the pills he can get so depressed it is hard to be around him. it is tough but i did it, so you can too.

bipolar is a disease that has to do with emotions. they can have violent mood swings, they are easily angered. to help your friend you can be more understanding, dont be so quick to disagree with him , and just talk about how your both feeling about life and situations. caffine tends to make bipolar patience worse so watch out.

i don't want to seem mean at all but you need to run from it. it will become a downer on you and you will start feel like crap when the mood swings happen
