I'm 12 years old, 5'3 1/2", and 117 pounds. Do you think this is too much? My sister Becky is 19 and only about 110 pounds, and she's 5'2.

Your body will be going through a ton of changes for the next couple of years. Your dimensions are about right for your age, so don't sweat it.
However, still be kind to your body.
Eat your veggies, and whole grains, and proteins
Dont pig out on junk food for snacks.
Try this: cut apples, bananas, strawberries, your favorite fruits into bite sized chunks and mix a dip of lowfat sour cream and dark brown sugar. just mix in the sugar to taste and let it sit for a little while so the sugar dissolves. Its so good! just make sure every bite has more fruit than dip in it.
also get some good crackers with your favorite low fat chip dip instead of chips, way less oil, with the goodness of whole grains.
Dont get hung up on your body at this age, just take good care of it, dont starve it, and get it moving so you break a sweat every once in a while.
and enjoying the right now in your life! :-)

No you are 12 years old and it doesnt matter right now as long as you stay active the weight will fall off get active into your school sports as soon as you can.....basketball and volleyball or whatever you like, those sports I loved and Im only 23 now I just love it still, but that is My advice to you I hope it helps and you can always talk to your sister Im sure. NO! Your still young and will probably grow more. As you grow that "baby fat" will redistribute itself. You are only 12 years old..you shouldn't be worrying about dieting! Give your body some time to get to the growth spurts and I am sure you will end up having a beautiful body. (and don't compare yourself to your sister, my sister and I are opposites!)

Well I don't know what you look like and it's hard to tell based on those numbers. But you're only 12... I'm 26, 5'4, and weigh about 108. 117 would be chunky on me.

Not fat at all. Plus at 12 years old, you are still carrying baby fat. Don't worry, once puberty is in full swing, you will loose that baby fat and perhaps get taller.

no ur not fat if u are 53 ur not fat 4 ur age and height if u were 160 and ur 12 5'3 then u can consider ur self fat but u are good 4 ur age

NO you are not fat. Everyone is built differently. My daughter is 13 y/o, 5'4" and weighs about 115 and she is definitely not fat.

Considering your height, no you are not fat. But your physician could provide you with more insight. Eat and Exercise regularly and you will stay fit!

I think that is a good weight because I'am a big gurl and I weight more than that. So I think that is a good weight but don't get to skinny because you don't want you bones to show

With your height you are fine. When I go to the doctor they have a chart that tells you what the majority of other girls your age and height are. don't be afraid to ask.
