I am neither left nor right just a human.. however I have studied Islam and the fact is that the radical element that you are referring to exists in Christianity as well.. as Judaism ... when a Christian Snipes or bombs an abortion clinic our western supposedly left leaning media never utters the word terrorist and yet isn't it exactly the same ? Your understanding of the world comes from a little box in your living room.. and yet you profess to have studied Islam ??? really .. can you break down the differences between Christianity and Islam ? can you tell me how many times Mother Mary is mentioned in the Koran as opposed to the bible.. Can you tell me the variation between the Christian version of Abraham and the Muslim version ???? can you ? I don't understand how the left can support the basic tenants of Islam. This is a religion (used loosely) that allows women no rights-not even the right to a full education.
The left is, by and large, pro choice. Islam does not allow abortion.
The left is anti violence, no war. Islam is all about violent action, war, killing, slaughter, etc.
The left is all for free speech. Islam allows free speech, I guess-you are free to say anything positive you want about Islam-but that's it.
The left claims to be about freedom. Islam wants to seriously restrict freedom.
I predict that if GW came out and said that he supported Islam and was a devout anti war candidate, the left would switch position. I think the main objective of the left has become opposing anything that the right stands for, even if the right is in the right.

I have reasearced islam and its no different from any other religion. There are people in every religion that use it to their purposes. You don't have to teach anybody about religion past this, religion is to be used to help people once it turns to harming anyone its no longer religion.
