I bought a 60 gig ipod for my fiance for his birthday off of Amazon. It got lost in the mail and when I notified Amazon they sent me another one and appologized. Eventually the first one I ordered showed up and two days later the replacement showed up...So now I have two. Do you send it back or do you keep it?

if they had tracked their shipment then you wouldn't have this dilemma. soooooo.... why don't you send me the freebie and i will take this heavy burden off of your weary heart and try to do what is best ;-)

amazon is a multimillion dollar corporation... they'll survive. try not to let it beat your conscience up.

p.s. - what??? i didn't steal it.

p.s.s. - they'll just file it as a "loss" and have it deducted from their taxes. you can do the "right" thing or you can do whatever.

You send it back. The fact that you're even asking this question shows that you know what the right thing to do is. Amazon was kind enough to send you another one immediately; you should be courteous enough to return the favor. If you do not return the ipod, that is STEALING which we all know is completely wrong.

There's tracking numbers on the packages. Amazon knows that you finally received the first one, so if you don't send it back , they'll charge you for the second one.

Send it back and know that you did the right thing. That is stealing. Anyway, they put tracking numbers on packages, and they can find it, or at lest its last dropoff point. Right down to the day, even the hour. Not to mention if you signed for it your screwed. They are looking for it by now for sure.

Clearly you send one back unless your personal integrity is worth less to you than a mass produced consumer good that will only last a few years.
