My cousin is going to be 18 tomorrow. She has really expensive taste (her parents are wealthy and buy her whatever she wants) and has everything I can think of! I don't have that much money, but she got me something for my 21st birthday, so I need to get her something for her birthday too. Any suggestions? Thanks!

I would give her something that she couldn't buy. Something that requires your personal time. If you do some type of craft or artwork - give her a peice of that. (Origional art is always expensive!) If you have a particular skill (like you can cook really great!) do something for her that way. She is accustomed to having things bought for her and that isn't going to make any type of impresion on her. But likely if you do something that is thoughtfull and requires some skill on your part she will be very happy with it.

Make her something pretty which she will enjoy having around. Be creative. Even just a photo collage of her family and friends with hearts on the matte or something which shows a little feeling. It doesn't have to be expensive as long as it shows some feeling. Some of the nicest things in the world don't cost much or even any money.

Get her tickets to a concert or theater if she likes that. You can also just get her something personal that is not too horribly expensive, like a silver bracelet or a pretty scarf. If it's all about money, then you can never find anything wonderful enough. Somethings that comes from the heart is better.

I would take her out to eat, and give her a card. That would be more meaningful than buying her some gift even go see a movie with her if you can afford it. Don't put emphasis on the possession as much as the condition of her b-day. You don't necessarily have to take her out on the day of her b-day either. Just keep it in mind is all I can say.

You can buy her sth that she would never have an idea to buy to herself, you can try to open her horizons. Maybe some nice book that may inspire her to do sth new, or some nice detail for her room, or some nice earrings or a T-shirt (never enough of those), or some new cosmetics product that she maybe hasn't heard of before (for example, a product that makes your eyelashes longer). There are many things you can buy to her. Even if she can afford everything, it doesn't mean that she knows everything there is.

She's 18? Leaving for college soon? Buy her something for the dorm.

What about flowers? Girls can never have enough flowers. Always make them feel good.

Or you can pay for a seminar on money management.

The phone number of a guy she has a secret crush on - won't cost you anything (probably), and she'll like it better than any of the other gifts (unless she gets a car).
