actually, clearing the history won't solve your problem. you want to do away with the auto complete feature of the address bar. simple... (georgia accent: why sir, whateva are you looking at that you don't wants people to see?)
go tools (menu bar) -> internet options -> Content tab -> auto complete button -> uncheck all boxes.
if you're looking at what i think you're looking at, you might also want to right click on the top of your browser in the gray area right above your address bar and click customize, then remove the history button from the address bar. also in internet options, you could clear history and then set the history to remember only the last 0 days of content. that way even if someone restores the history button, they won't be able to trace what you looked at.
