Sweetie,First be honest and NICE.Just tell the person that u.Like them and think u can be great friends. But u do not have romantic feeling for them. Its better to be honest with them up front so they don't feel as if they have made a fool of them self and don;t do it in front of others or threw others and don';t tell others about how u told them off or anything cause they don't need to feel like everyone is laughing at them.Just send them note or email or call on the phone would help so if it does cause them to be upset they don't have to deal with it in front of u as well.Good luck

I wouldn't say anything. Just keep things as they are. If the person presses you on the issue, then politely tell them that you are only interested in a friendship with them. Try to keep the negatives out of the conversation.

"Sorry, but I am just not that into you." It sounds so simple. Try that. Be honest but brief.
Okay, actually...even though that would be one of the best things to say, the rejected would want to know why? Am I to short? Do I smell? Are you seeing someone? Am I ugly? Am I fat? Yada, yada, yada. No one wants to get rejected. We all take it personally when we really shouldn't. And no one likes to reject another. But we have to do that as well sometimes. So just remember, be nice about it and don't give in if you are not interested.

Just tell them that they are a nice person but you are not interested in having a relationship with them.Don't lie just be straight up.No sense in saying things like maybe someday or not right now. That is giving them false hope, tell the truth.

We are just different kinds of peopleand that You know that that person would not want you to lie to them and just drag them along. Tell them the truth, whats the worst they can do, not like you. Problem solved.

Tell them you want to be friends. They usually know that is code for - not intterested but want to let u down nicely. If you are too nice they DO NOT get the message! So be strait foreward, quick to the point. 'I like you as a friend'

All I can say is" honesty is the best policy" so tell them the truth because if you don't they'll only get hurt more.
