Could be -because Health Insurance cost purposes, Non-smoker person work in the HR department? Are you being denied a job or terminated, because you're a smoker?

Not sure exactly what your question is.

But around here, laws were passed recently banned all smoking in all public buildings. Many restaraunts have opened outdoor patios as a way to serve smoking cusomters.

I think it's all because of health reasons. Smokers tend to be shunned from non-smokers, in restaurants, at work, and even at home. It's just the way society has changed in the last 100 years. Not good or bad, just different.

It's a liability thing. Ever since it was discovered that second hand smoke causes cancer in people in close proximity to the smoke, everyone is being "safer than sorry."
