It's quite normal.
Remember that although the FETUS might be the size of a peanut, the uterus itself also packs some weight and there's amniotic fluid to reckon with too.
At around two months, the average top of the uterus is not palable in your abdomen, but that doesn't mean you're not showing.
You are "showing" earlier that average, but definitely still in the normal range.
There are LOTS of variations.

Every pregnancy is different. You may be pudging a little because the excess water in your uterus. Or your body could be storing fat to make up for the little one inside of you taking all of your nutrients away. When your body isn't getting enough nutrients it will actually grab any fat that you eat and put it on you so that it has something to feed off of when you aren't eating enough for your body.

No it isn't the baby isn't much bigger than a couple of inches. Could you be farther along than you think or maybe pregnant with twins? If it not any of these, sorry to tell you, but that is extra weight.

That's prefectly normal.. a lot of people will start showing earlier or later than usual, it just depends on which way you grow and how fast your baby is growing.

depending how young you are.. that part of your belly stores fat, to protect your belly when it holds a baby. if you are super skinny, you will see a difference early on. or it may be all in your head. i knew i was showing when i was 2 mos...but everyone else didnt think so.
