I took it back in 2002 before they had the written section on the test. As an engineer, I found the verbal section to be a little difficult. The math section was pretty much algebra, geometery, functions, graphs. I took a sample of the writing portion. As long as you can organize your thoughts and make your point, you should be okay with that.

I don't remember how long the test took (2.5 hours?) or the cost ($125?). You'd have to go to the website for that info. http://www.ets.org/gre/

When I took them, all you had to do was call up the testing center and register. It's a computer-based test. You can basically take it whenever you're ready. The added bonus is you'll have an idea of what your scores are when you leave the test room.

GRE stands for Graduate Record Examinations You can find to much information by typing in GRE in your Yahoo search engine.

Is it worth it. Mostly yes. It really depends on what you plan to do with your working life.
