My cycle is 33 days long, today is 23. I'm pretty sure I ovulated on Monday, today I started spotting a light brownish discharge along with mild period like cramping. I've never spotted mid cycle before and I am trying to conceive. My sister had implantation bleeding but I didn't with my 7 year old. This spotting/cramping has been going on all day.Not enough for a pad, just maybe a liner. Has anyone had something like this? Opinions would be great!

A: I would suspect implantation bleeding if it occurs a bit earlier than expected, if it were scanty, spotty, pinkish and not red and heavy like a period, and does not follow the normal pattern of a period (light to heavy to light).
The BBT should remain elevated and not decline to preovulatory levels.
There is often the feeling that it is a period with light cramps and bloating, but the bleeding is shorter, lighter and just not normal.
If a woman is usually regular, and now all of a sudden develops this type of early spotting, and of course is "at risk" for a pregnancy, I would strongly suspect conception.

Every woman is different but it sounds to me like you are pregnant. I always got the light cramps but never spotting. Wait until 5 days before you get your period to start testing. I know you are excited girl but hold on ok? I wish you all the luck in the world.

I had one faint small spot with my first pregnancy and 2 days of a light period and cramping with my second, so there is no rhyme or reason. One sure sign of pregnancy is breast or nipple tenderness. Mine usually started a few days before I was scheduled to start my period. I also got extremely tired both times. Good luck!

It was Dark Brown,and only lasted two days,with a tiny bit in panties each day. Enough to make me go to the Dr. to see why I was having this strange bleeding. Had no clue I was pregnant but was with my daughter that is now 5!

I HAD THE SAME THING HAPPEN TO ME. I WENT TO THE EMERGENCY ROOM BECAUSE I ALREADY KNEW I WAS PREGNANT, THEY TOLD ME THE SAME THING, IT WAS FROM THE EMBRYO EMBEDDING INTO THE UTERUS. MAYBE YOU ARE PREGNANT, AND IF YOU ARE CONGRATULATIONS!
