There could be a lot of reasons. Your ISP could be having trouble. You may need to repair your connection which is fairly easy to do. You may have corrupted something with a recent download. You could have a virus/bug/etc.
If you are good with computers you can fix some things on your own. Double click on your two little computers you should see disable, status, repair. Go ahead and tell it to repair. If that does not work.... then try shutting down for one minute, unplug your modem, for one minute, then plug it back in.... start up again and reboot your system as normal. You may fix the problem by your re-start.
If these don't work, call your Internet providor and see if they can walk you through the problem. They will probably have you do a ping.
If you still have problems, find someone who knows a lot about computers and ask them. Most problems are really quite simple.
Good luck.

im assuming u used like firefox or netscape to get here, but it sounds like you already have it installed on your computer, if you just deleted the icon on your desktop for internet explorer, it's still on your computer, what you do is go to, my computer, open the hard drive, open program files folder, look for "internet explorer" folder, open it, right click on a blank space on that page, go to view on the pop-up menu, click on the icons setting, you should find an internet explorer icon on the page you right clicked, right click on the icon, click copy, now exit out of the whole window, then right click on a blank space on your desktop, select paste, and you should be able to use internet explorer from that shortcut. =D

That happened to me so I installed Mozilla Firefox and use Firefox for browsing without any further problems (no uninstalling and re-installing or headaches)! Try it, it's free!
