its really good.do u know Pakistan has a very rich cultural back ground?really it is.let me tell u abt this,usually Pakistani brides wear a beautiful dress of red or maroon colour,but its also up to u that u may choice any other bright colour for this special day.there are lot of traditional things.bride apply mehndi on her hands.groom wear traditional dress but he can also dress up with western style.ceremony take place in marriage hall.all relatives and friends sings songs n wish to the bride n groom.see Pakistani sites for Pakistani bridal dresses wish u good luck .ALLAH BLESS U.

Forget all the answers above,there are good and bad people everywhere...
No.1.Divorce rate in Pakistan is one of the lowest in the world..
And about the kids,US state department "can"and they do persue cases in Pakistan and where they "deserve"mother are given their children back and allowed to take them to their homelands in many cases...
There are many cases when ex patriot Pakistanis have wedded their daughters to relatives in Pakistan and later someone told their friends that they are married against their will.They were helped by the authorities and were put on a plane back
And wedding is one Huge social gathering in Pakistan...
People would dance,enjoy,greet each other,give you salaamis(Wedding gifts in cash),you'll get to wear one hell of jewellary
And ummmm there is lots more ..

Have you read anything about their culture?Once your married you are a Pakistani and you cannot leave the country without your husbands permission.Upon divorce he gets the kids.The American government cannot and will not help get the children back to you.Please read these books below.They are all true stories. (Well Im not saying you are Pakistani what I mean is once your married the Pakistan government will look at you as a pakistani.)Im not trying to offend you in anyway.My boyfriend is Mexican and Im white non-hispanic.When him and I first started dating I looked up everything I could about his culture.Almost forgot I never mentioned anything about you converting to islam.

Don't expect a white dress or a band or any formal food. You will probably be covered from head to toes and they will trade you for a goat or two.
