Sorry, but Iggy is the most obvious and boring name for an iguana going. However, that's what all my friends and family call me because of my passion for these animals!

My current iguanas are called Olly and Emerald. Olly because when I said I would rehome him he was doing this whole begging Oliver Twist type routine - looking all cute and lonesome (til I got him out and he bit my fingernail off!) and Emerald because of her colouring. I have also had iguanas called Beep, Wibble, George, Rustle and Spunky.

I find that names just present themselves to me once I've been around the lizard for a bit.

Olly's iguana name for himself is "Tail-slash, biter of human digits" and Emerald's is "Beautiful lady with manicured claws".

I named my Iguana "Elvis"... He's the king of my heart and his cage. Just depends on it's personality. I named my first one Madusa b/c she was crazy like she had snakes inher head! ha ha ha... What ever you do... DON'T NAME IT IGGY OR IZZY... b-o-r-i-n-g!!!!!!!!!!!!

how bout WHIP cause they whip their tails at you. iggy,dotty,ghepetto, mr. toads are my iguanas names, gheppetto died a year ago.
