Don't worry--it's not that hard. I did the same thing at your age: skipped to algebra in 7th grade, geometry in 8th, and trig in 9th. Your teachers are putting you in the class because they are confident that you can do it, and hope that it will keep you from being bored with your schoolwork. As long as you pay attention in class to make sure you understand the concepts, the homework shouldn't take longer for you than the easier class homework does for everyone else. It helps a lot if you have someone to work on the homework with (if your teacher is okay with that). You can still make time for band and soccer, but make sure you put school first. Congratulations on passing the test, and good luck!

Busy schedule! Anyway, you might find you have to give up something for your algebra- music is good, but you could pobably give up either the jazz band or the district. Algebra in seventh grade is very impressive. You will want to keep it.
You sound like a smart girl. Just work hard and keep your mind on free college :D

Practice - do some math every day - it's the repetitiveness of it that will help you learn it. I am taking college algebra after being out of high school for about 13 years now - it's been longer than that since i've had math - doing problems has helped - maybe spend 20 minutes a day on it. Good luck!

Just study and work hard and you will get it. If you need more study time, then pick an activity and drop that. There is absolutely no reason to ever drop a study you are qualified for : for an activity. Math lasts forever and an activity gives you a pleasure for that one year only.

You study, and do the homework. And keep in mind that sometimes, you can't do all the things you want to do. Sometimes you have to drop out of things you enjoy (like stage, band, etc) in order to do good in school. Once you do good in school, you can go on to college and do the things you really like. But keep in mind that if you do to many things, none of them will turn out right.

I took Algebra in 6th grade. You'll be fine, just study. If you find yourself overwhelmed talk to your parents or teacher.

study. enlist the help of your teacher, parents, friends, and tutors if needed. Schoolwork is also more important than soccer or band...do you think how well you play an instrument is going to get you as good of a scholarship as one you'd get for your grades? I don't think so!

how about you do the work. if you have a good teacher you'll be fine. my sucked and i have a giant hole of missing knowledge. you have to do the work to get ahead. if you're in too many activities you have to make a choice of what will get you ahead in life. i had to cut back a lot during school, but it was worth it when my life was easier when i got in college.
