It didn't work for me either. I had less BIG acne bumps, but more little pimple things- bumpy texture. I think maybe it was too harsh for me. The only thing that's worked for me is a very clean diet and keeping a gentle lotion on my face. Even that didn't work completely, but it's the closest I get to clear skin. Cutting the junk like smoking, drinking, too much coffee somehow seems to help with eating a healthy diet.

Proactiv is like many acne preparations, you must use it for a long time. Another idea for topical, not internal, acne prep is Obagi Nu-Derm. It uses Retin-A, which peels the skin for new healthy skin growth.
You may need something internal like an antibiotic. Call a dermatologist. If money is a problem, tell them you don't have a lot to spend.
Most MDs will work with you! Good luck!

Keep in mind, with any product you have to use the WHOLE PACKAGE on a regular basis. With any acne product, such as proactive, you have to keep in mind that it isnt a miracle product. It takes weeks to first see results. And if you stop using it after maybe a week or two just because you didnt see the results you wanted, then it's your fault. I, personally, havent used proactive since i dont get acne, maybe a pimple a month, maybe two if i'm sweaty in the summer.

I struggled with acne for years and I finally found the solution that works for me. We have been fooled, tricked, deceived, and just plain lied to. It's time that someone put a stop to it, and everyone learn the truth!
Those of us who suffer from acne have usually been given 2 choices and neither of them work:
1. Over the counter remedies such as cleansers, creams, ointments, etc. These things have been proven over and over again not to work. Why? It does not address the root cause of the problem.
2. Go see a doctor and or dermatologist. They will generally prescribe prescription drugs which include topicals and or antibiotics. This, too, has been proven over and over again not to work. Why? It does not address the root cause of the problem.
I found a step-by-step program that cured my acne and it has never come back. It is amazing and doesn’t use any drugs or doctors. The truth is that acne can be cured…if we know the secret the doctors and drug companies don’t want us to know.
There is a great website: http://cure-my-acne.info/3daycure/
that has all the details. I really suggest you check it out and see if it works as well for you as it did for me.

My brother tried it and it worked for him-he had some nasty big red spots with a lot of white pimples on his face-ewww. But this proactive stuff really worked. I guess you have to stay on it. Like, don't skip a day or if you forget don't skip the treatment. Many times I forget to take my pills and I have to take it as soon as I remember or else it won't work.

I tired using Proactiv and it worked for awhile, but then stopped working. I later tried a brand called Murad and that has been working for me. Sometimes I think it just depends on skin type.

i just started using it, I was very skeptical but it seems to be working. Whether it works or not you have a money back gurantee. Give it a try, it takes about three weeks at times to really see results because it's almost re-training your skin. If you don't like it or does not work, send them the bottles even if they are empty and will refund your money!
