Yes, we do. By making good or bad choices. Think about it. If you study hard, graduate college and hold out for a good partner, even hard conditions in life will be easier to cope with because you will have a good support system in your partner and be financially stable as well. I would rather face say having cancer and have the financial means to fight it better than to have it, be on welfare living in a trailer somewhere, single with a few kids.

Oh Yes, we definitely determine our destiny. We do this by the choices we make and by the actions these choices generate.
It may not seem that way all the time because some of our choices develop at the subconscious level, dictated by the set of ideas received during our upbringing (education), we are not aware of this process and we think we are not responsible.
We can change a lot of the unwanted conditions in our life, by analyzing the true origin of them (very often rooted in our subconscious), and making the right choices, it is not easy and requires a lot of discipline, compromising, and courage, but I believe that is why we are here for.
It becomes less difficult when you find the support of someone, and support comes when you give it, so love and help others as much as you can, and you will be rewarded

Yes by the choices we make we decide our destiny. Good choices good life, bad choices unhappy life. Now when somebody chooses to harm us and make our life's difficult, by how we handle the problem or circumstances will decide how we will end up. I know we get bad blows from time to time, that wasn't even our fault. But just keep an attitude of a winner not a quitter, and you will win no matter what it may look like. I hope I help a little. I'm just given you what I have experience by doing that, not just something out of my head.

the situation we find ourselves in can be beyond our control,but each behavior we choose in all the events that happen throughout our day steer our situation.other people and their behavior,maybe in reaction to us,can have a sometimes great influence on us(even when we aren't very aware of the other person or what influence they are exerting).
