The general image of GOD is a figment of man's(and women's) imagination. GOD is neither merciful , nor merciless.
People use GOD to justify their actions and reactions that govern their daily lives. They require something, or someone, to blame for their situations and desparity, rather than accepting responsibility for their own actions.
