Didn't they say the same thing about the theory that the Earth is round?

Not at all. It is my firm belief that God created the universe and that He created us. I also believe that evolution is the only scientific theory that might account for how life got to where it is today.

But it is my contention that neither side really knows the full story.
First, I do not believe anybody can truly grasp the concept of how organisms change over the course of millions and tens of millions of years.
Second, I do not believe any man can truly graps the nature of a God that can create a universe. Such a being could have decided upon our existance at the moment of the big bang, and our coming into existance took billions of years to materialize, first with the creation of our solar system, then to our lives through evolution.
Third, both theories require faith to some degree. Creationism is mostly faith, but even evolution requires faith to bridge the gaps.

Isaiah 40:22 says, “God sits above the circle of the earth..." so, it has alway been round to believers.

Yes, and gravitation is a theory too. We have ample evidence that both do occur- it's not a question in the scientific community whether evolution occurs, we know that's the case. Creationism on the other hand, has NO scientific evidence to support it. Zip, zero, nada- NONE. But people are free to believe that's how things work- there's always that remote possibility that everything we've discovered so far is wrong.

As to the overall timeline & development of different species, there are always new facts coming to light, and blanks to be filled in. So of course by definition, it's a theory. Much of the data which supports our current model comes from different fields (geology, microbiology, botany, anthropology, oceanography etc) so new developments in those areas help to clarify existing assumptions and correct previous mistakes. Pluto used to be considered a planet- just because astronomers finally decided it was a mistake to classify it as such doesn't mean it's not orbiting the sun anymore. And just because species evolve doesn't eliminate the possibility that perhaps God designed things to work that way.

But back to the question, when you believe in a guy with pointed ears sitting in a blast furnace, scheming 24/7 to deceive and mislead every human being in existence, then yeah- you tend to believe in a lot of smaller conspiracies, too :)

People people people... you're getting caught up on this "theory" word. In scientific terms, it doesn't mean the same thing that it means in everyday jargon. "In common usage, people often use the word theory to signify a conjecture, an opinion, or a speculation".

That's NOT... the kind of theory... we're talking about here.

In the context of SCIENCE, "A theory is an explanation of a set of related observations or events based upon proven hypotheses and verified multiple times by detached groups of researchers".

"In science, a theory is a proposed description, explanation, or model of the manner of interaction of a set of natural phenomena, capable of predicting future occurrences or observations of the same kind, and capable of being tested through experiment or otherwise falsified through empirical observation."

With THAT out of the way...

No, I don't think that Creationists believe evolutionary theory to be a giant conspiracy to disprove the existence of God. They might perceive it as mass "confusion", but not a conspiracy.

they have the wrong premise .EACH and every species on earth developed independent of all others .and as one dissapeared another appeared .THERE was no transformation of one kind into another or of monkeys becoming human .every living thing on earth is seperate and distict except in size and color over the centuries animals adapted not evolved smaller faster biger stronger but never a new spieces always the same ones .
Roaches have remaind un changed for millions of years .SO where is the evolution of roaches or any other life on earth .THE creator may have worked hard to create a balance so man could survive and learn and discover what life really means .WE must adapt and learn to get along .
WHY do you think all of a sudden man is developing the ability to travel the planets and at any moment the leap could be made to faster then light travel .THIS opens man up to spread throught the universe i see nothing but the hand of a creator among Us and it is so evident that many also see it too.
WE live in a world that is changing faster then people can accept and change and the choices are becoming more difficult with out man accepting the genisis of life and the dna code that forms each one of as at conception .
LIFE is what will propel us forward and by looking back we should learn how important each one of us is .

Evolution on no account befell. it particularly is postulated to ensue very very slowly, and the age of earth or perhaps the universe isn't sufficient for the evolution of a single protein molecule (like an enzyme or hemoglobin). each and every protein molecule is composed of a sequence of amino acids especially sequence. in case you think approximately which you have 20 amino acids as development blocks, and the protein is basically one hundred amino acid long, then the risk of having the suitable code by using twist of destiny is 20^one hundred. If nature is quickly sufficient to do 1000 tries in keeping with 2nd it is going to take billions of years to get the suitable sequence of that particular protein. Now think of that the individual is composed of tens of millions of particular proteins that are coordinated in a terrific way, this could be next to impossible to ensue by using twist of destiny in elementary terms. it particularly is a could that there is a properly reported in a position clothier for those form of astonishing varieties of existence who's All-powerful God (Allah). Please end stating evolution back different than in case you could instruct you're stunning and that i'm incorrect. thank you.

I think creationists just want to believe in God. Period.
They probably don't really think about or seriously consider things like the theory of evolution, the theory that the world was round, or the laws of physics. It just gets in their way.

No. The two theories do not necessarily contradict each other.

However, some evolutionists seem to think because they find certain bones, then God is disproved.

Some do, and have said so, in plain words, to me.

Most just have the wrong idea that all scientists are atheists, or if they aren't they're "too afraid" to speak "the truth".

And some folks are enlightened enough to know there's no necessary conflict, or that science and religion deal with fundamentally different issues.
