i live in detroit suburb and trying to find a doctor who is familiar with cerebral palsy in adults. someone like a good orthopedist. anyone have any advise?

No not any doctor will do. I have CP myself so I know better. My regular doctor asked me what CP was. Now that is sad! If I were you I would ask doctors around your area for advice on finding one that knows CP. If you care to chat you know my ID.

A CP doctor is different than a good orthopaedist.
Try contacting a CP group and see if they have any referrals in your area.
