It depends on what you like. Auckland is a huge city, and warm -a bit like Sao Paulo in a way. Then there's Wellington, which is much smaller, but the capital; it's very windy there, and not that warm; a good comparison may be Santiago de Chile. And then there's the South Island, which is a lot less warm, but very peaceful and nice; Cristschurch is a reasonably large city, and very British; I think it feels a bit like Buenos Aires, both in terms of what it looks like and the climate. And then there is Dunedin, which is set in very beautiful surroundings, but it can be cold there, and it's a bit like Scotland (or Comodoro Rivadavia in Argentina). The language is the same everywhere, New Zealand English des not vary too much from place to place. I'd say if you still aren't decided, make it a financial decision: Auckland is expensive, Wllington and Christchurch are medium-expensive, and Dunedin is cheap to live in.
