Expectations. I think we believe that if we give our love we should receive love in return. When love should be unconditional, no matter what response you receive if your intentions are pure and without motive we should be okay to love people... Just like Jesus.

I think there is a love deficit and i think there always is. I'm not sure that it can ever be filled because i don't think there can ever be too much love as long as it's for the right people places ideals concepts and objects. I also think a huge problem is the misdirection of love, people love whats pleasurable to them and chase it only when the chase is easy and pleasurable, at the cost of what they love that is unpleasant and difficult to persue.

Oh yeah, just think about how easy it is for people to say "I hate....." and name off a thousand things, but when it comes to talking about love, they have such a hard time.
We definitely need to allow ourselves and encourage others to love more.... of everything. We need to be more understanding of others and let them know about our love for things and maybe more people will catch on.
Think about the history of the world and the news on TV and how everything is about battles and hatred and violence. When was the last time you saw a story of love? A report on the actions toward peace somewhere? A story of endurance and determination in the name of love?
We need to record and remember more of those moments of peace and unity like the tearing down of the Berlin wall. Those are the moments where we see the progress of humanity and how it is the great loving things we do that bring us closer to peace.
We need to stop associating being loving with being weak. We need to realize war is weakness, hatred is fear and we need to know that being able to love one another for who or what they are without fear is to truly be strong.
Love is the key to our future survival on this planet. Without it we will all perish.
