Not so bad, just wacky. They have these warm winds called the Chinook that bring the temperature from like -30 up to +15 (Celcius) in an hour or so. Oh but yeah, it can go down to -30. Skiing's nearby.

It's difficult to live in Calgary any season. High rents, dreadful traffic 'cause the city can't keep up with building new infrastructure, stressed-out population.

I heard a story about a Toronto executive who moved to Calgary & couldn't get over how hard Calgarians work - like early to the office, late leaving, weekends, etc. Now the province is BOOMING, it's even crazier.

And then there's winter. Just when you get used to it being cold, a chinook blows through and tricks your mind & body into believing it's spring, then it gets cold again.

It is weird. It can go from -30 to +10 in a matter of hours. It is just strange. I was there on and off for 5 years and I couldn't get over that it would snow in the summer but that you could almost wear shorts some days in the winter. It is just unpredicable. That's all you can say.

Not at all, you just need a good winter coat, and a scarf and mitts. The last couple of winters havn't been that bad at all anyways, we havnt really even gotten snow untill the end of Feb. normally we have snow by early to mid Nov.

Not at all. The chinooks blow in over the mountain and it is common to reach the 20s Celcius on some days
