It is normal to have less energy when pregnant. Also stress also increases fatigue. Excercises like yoga and pilates couldl help release stress as well as increase energy. Eat early in the morning, lots of fresh fruits and vegetables.

You are at the stage where your body's main concern is to creating the zygote into a baby. So, all the other task take a backseat, Everything slows down, that's why you feel lethargic. I'm afraid you can't do much but wait till you reach the second trimester.
I suggest you get as much rest as possible by sleeping early and napping whenever you can. You might still suffer from morning sickness but don't forget to eat. Drink juice, lots of water and snack on fruits (bananas and apples are great) or nuts. This will give you an energy boost.
Hope you have a great pregnancy!

NO! Stay away from excessive caffeine and similar stimulants! You have no idea how that may affect the fetus.
Eat a balanced meal and drink natural fruit juices, and eat at regular intervals (stop worrying about weight gain and nonsensical stuff like that... for your own health and for the baby's health, too). Your body has to make certain adjustments and before long you may not feel this tired and fatigued.
See your doctor; you are now feeding a growing baby inside you, which may deplete your body of nutrients which is normal... thusly making you tired. Sounds like it MAY (or may not) be a nutritional issue; consult a nutritionist.
Do not take advice from anyone on health issues who is not a health or medical personnel that specializes in the area of your concern. They will answer you out of their desire to be helpful but they do not necessarily know what is best for you or have the background to do so; each person is unique and has different needs for their individual body. What's good for you ain't good for me! That is why doctors take urine samples and blood samples... to get a more accurate "read" on you, as an individual and not a cookie cutout of several individuals just like you.
Many vitamins are water soluable and the body flushes out what it cannot or does not use but some stay in your system. Did you know that certain common vitamins can harm (poison) your unborn? One of these is said to be vitamin C. Do not take vitamins indiscriminately if you are pregnant and always tell your doctor what vitamins and minerals you are taking; PLEASE, see a nutritionist, and take all the extra precautions you can... yes, baby yourself, too. Get more rest. And, by all means, enjoy your pregnancy.
Would you ask a foot doctor for advice on an inner ear problem, or your ophthalmologist questions dealing with carpel tunnel syndrome?
Have a happy and healthy baby!

Tiredness is a common symptom of pregnancy and affects every woman to some degree during pregnancy. This is true no matter how much rest or sleep you get, unfortunately tiredness is all part and parcel of being pregnant.
Generally women feel the most tired during the first trimester of pregnancy as the body goes through the changes and shock of being pregnant. The energy required for all of the changes can explain why many women feel tiredness.
With tiredness and pregnancy going hand in hand there is little that can be done to alleviate it, but feeling grouchy due to tiredness can be helped with lots of relaxation techniques, such as taking long soaks in the bath with your favourite bath oils and scents.
Your diet is also important in the fight against tiredness. Ensure you are eating good pregnancy foods and that your diet during pregnancy is balanced and nutritious. Taking light exercise can help you feel better, such as a walk in the park or even around the garden in the fresh air.
If at any point your tiredness is affecting your mental health or your normal functioning then you should consult your doctor as they may be able to help. Remember to stay away from caffeine even though this can be tempting when feeling tired.

This happened to my friend who is pregnant. It varies for every woman so there really is no telling when you might get your energy back. Your body is working overtime providing for your baby so there is certainly a valid reason for your fatigue.
Make sure that you are getting plenty of sleep at night and getting lots of exercise (as long as you are not a high rish pregnancy). Keeping a good exercise routine can increase your energy and make it easier to loose the pregnancy weight. Also make sure that you are eating right. If you have too much sugar in your diet, you can crash and never get your energy back.

Coffee MS?? What the hell are you thinking?? Anyway... I was tired and listless for both of my pregnancies. With the first one, it went away at about the 5th or 6th month, then I felt great - until I started to feel heavy - but at least it wasn't that in-the-gut-tiredness that you're talking about. It never went away with the second one. I was the walking dead from day one until I delivered (a month early). Sorry I didn't have better news for you... but hey - we're all different? Right? Yours may go away even sooner than mine. Good luck.

Well, you're in the second Trimester where a lot of women get some energy back. My only suggest would be to try and do some mild excercising and get plenty of sleep.

Have you seen your doctor and discussed this with him/her? I felt the same way when I was pregnant. Turned out that I had iron poor blood. I took the prenatal vitamins each day, improved my diet and it was not long before I started to feel better and my energy level increased. Check with your doctor. Each case is different. Congrats and good luck!

The only thing that I would tell you that I was the same way. The only way that I could do it is by taking my pre-nat. pill at night and I felt a lot better the next day but you already know that it goes away after a while since youve had one already,,,,you'll be okay try to start walking more just make yourself do it
Good LUCK!!

do some mild excercise, go to bed earlier and rest every chance you get and lay off the sugar.
My friend was very tired a lot and she found that laying off sugar helped a lot. She wanted to eat icecream all of the time, but she didn't and it made her feel a whole lot better.
Also tell your doctor and ask him if he thinks you have gestational diabetes.
