Umaga. What's your opinion on him?

Please no random blasting, I want your honest and considered opinion, if you'll be so kind. It's for a wrestling column that I write, and I'll credit you (your username at least) if you provide me with something I can really use. No promises though.

I think Umaga is overrated and overpaid, this guy didn't do too much when he was with Rosie during the days of 3 Minute Warning, and if he was so great then why was he gone for such a long time before coming back as Umaga, look at Rosie now where is he?? in the development promotions and soon as Umagas character is over that's where you'll find Jamal(I mean Umaga) with his cousin Rosie in the the "minor leagues"
Umaga is definitely not WWE material, he's more TNA's style. The only Umaga has going for him is that fact that's he's big and that Samoan Spike is deadly(look at Kane for example) and I've had the Samoan Spike happen to me just play wrestling and that hurts if not done properly

So for my overall rating of Umaga I would give him a 3.5 out of 10
strictly because the guy has no variety and no real skill he just stomps people instead of wrestling them!!! the only reason why I gave him that high of a rating is because of the Samoan Spike

I don't even think the tattoo on his face is real even thought it's part of the Samoan Culture to have tribal tattoos like that

Umaga is boring. What is with these new beastly wrestlers that cannot even talk for themselves and only know a few moves in the ring. Umaga is just a ripoff and he is not going to lose anytime soon because his only purpose is to counter the samoa joe effect. Problem is with Triple H screwing around in this weird two member dx the mcmahons have no powerful heel on their side. They are trying umaga but it is not going to work. If they try johnny nitro next I might quit watching. So I answer your question with a completely unrelated question. Just how long do they expect this new DX to last with only one member who will actually do any of the DX antics? Stupid born again christian stuff hurting the legend of such an awesome stroyline/group.

I think Umaga is a believable monster heel, and he has HUMUNGOUS potential. If they would add a few more moves to his repretoir he could be talked about as one of the biggest heel monsters in WWE history some time down the road. It won't be long before Cena and Edge need to watch their butts, because Umaga is coming as soon as he's done with Kane, and he will be in the WWE title picture.

Well personally I like Umaga. Alot of people diss him because of his gimmick, but it's not that bad. Sure it is an overexagurated version of Samoa Joe but, let's face it, Umaga has talent. He has speed and streght. The only thing he lacks is mic skills and I think Armando Alejandro Estrada covers that up quite nicely. Everydoby says that they don't like Umaga's gimmick but on this website alone there has been so much hype going aroung about the Kane-Umaga feud it's unbealievable.

So whether you like Umaga's gimmick or you don't we all tune in to see who his next victim is gonna be.

Mugandung umaga means good morning in the Philippines. This tub of lard is said to be Samoan...but then Sabu is said to be from India. Someone who writes these crude scripts knows little about nationalities. Umaga is a fat blob and could not match someone who is all muscle. I've seen many undefeated clowns. Anyone could defeat the losers against whom they are matched, even my grandmother, and she died forty years ago. Umaga is being built up for a big match. Wrestling is so predictible.

Is it me or Umaga was part of the Headshrinkers back in the early 90's?

It's simple, it's a gimmick. He doesn't have anything, besides a character, that stands out from everybody else, to even go so far as to have him be undefeated!

Eventually, he will lose the heat, and he's gonna end doing nothing but house shows until his contract ends. Then the Indie market might try to raise some crowds with an Ex-WWE wrestler's name....

Honestly, I have only seen the guy a couple of times. But from what I have seen and from what everyone has told me, he is a joke. One match that he could believably win however is an over acting contest with William Shatner (well, I guess that it's only believable if you've actually seen him). Sorry, I'm not trying to bash or anything, but that's my honest opinion based on what I've seen and heard of him.

Okay.. Well, they make him so special. The WWE calls him the undefeated Umaga, they should stop this crap because it is kind of getting boring. You know seeing people undefeated for a while and than suddenly they get someone special and make him or her defeat the undefeated. WWE already got many undefeated dudes, im getting tired of him, he cant really put up a show, not for me in that case.. And the undefeated, got someone that speak for them, the undefeated never speaks for their selves..

He reminds me of Rikishi, which I didn't like either. Umaga will never be able to go far in wrestlling because he doesn't talk, He won't be able to talk smack like the actual contenders do. Armando Alejandro Estrada isn't going to be able to do all of his talking.
