Captain America, because of his leadership and tactical genius. He's embodies the best qualities of DC's two biggest heroes- he's combines the idealistic, pure hearted commitment to heroic ideals that Superman does along with the lifetime of training, the resourcefulness and sense of "one man can make a difference" that Batman does, without the dark, grim persona.
Like Batman, he's the one without any real super-powers who relies on thinking his way through situations and using whatever advantages the enviroment he's fighting in offers. Like Batman, he's the one who never gives up, is always determined to find a solution and isn't fazed by the fact that the latest mystical or alien menace is so powerful or immune to his abilities, because they're ALL more powerful than him. Rarely is Cap the strongest guy in a fight, but he's always the one who stands up for what's right, helps his teammates.and finds a way to beat the odds.
I always think back to the original secret wars when the villians were facing off against some of Marvel's most powerful heroes- The Hulk, Iron Man, Thor, the Fantastic Four- and their opening battle cry was "Take down that Star-spangled fool first! With him down, the rest are easy pickings!!" That was sooo funny, yet sums up Cap perfectly.

There is no contest, its BATMAN. He did not have superpowers like the others did, but still managed to save many people. I mean if you had superpowers you really do only have the choice of either being a super hero or villain.

Batman because he has trained his body and mind to be able to take on anything and adapt to an ever changing group of baddies. He is able to find weakness where there is none. He is the man.
However Green Lantern is my fave Super Hero.

Your friendly neighborhood Spider-man.
He was a nerd who lost most of his family and he rose to greatness. He is funny. He is very intelligent ( good educational value system). He is rarely dark and brooding like many "hero's" out there today. He doesn't kill people.
And he has saved the Marvel Universe many times over.
All this from humble Peter Parker.....plus hie wife is hot.

spider-man is by far the greatest superhero of all time. you simply have to look at the box office totals. not x-men, ff, superman and batman come close. the 3rd instalment of a series usually mark the end, but with spider-man, he is just getting started. look for 6 spider-man movies in the series. unprecedented.

I think Superman and Captain America are about neck and neck for the noblest, most admirable characters in their moral code. That alone makes them 'great'.
In terms of power, the Spectre (by the same creators as Superman, Siegel and Schuster) has always been the most powerful, He is supposed to be as powerful as God, with Whom he occasionally discussed his personal problems (isolated word balloons were tactfully employed.)
Spectre could stop time, question murder victims about the manner of their demise, grow bigger than the galaxy, grab a comet by it's tail and swing it around his head to use as a club-- the list goes on and on. His powers were limitless.

batman of the dc universe because he knows all of the dc characters weaknesses and how to exploit them when the time is needed.
wolverine of marvel because he has the mutant power of regeneration. his claws are off the hook and are made of bone. (magneto took away his metal during i think it was the story where all the x-titles had holograms on the covers).
shania twain because she looked adversity in the eye and laughed and now shes a huge mega country music star... shes such a milf :-)
my dad because he didnt care what you thought of him, he did his thing whether you like it or not. he mightve been the smartest man or the richest man but he provided for his family even when he was laid off from the steel mills.

Batman, because he had every reason in the world to be evil(the tragic death of his parents, millions of bucks, one of the most brilliant minds on Earth) and he still became a hero.

Superman. He was born a superhero. The others are either mutants or caused by accidents. The lamest superhero is Batman. No real superpowers, just a big fat wallet.
