Why not just buy a bunch of inexpensive throw away cameras for the guests and let them take the wedding photos? As for the music, get all the fav cd's of yours and your fiancee, and a big old boom box... make it personal... i just cannot personally see spending a small fortune for what photographers and dj's cost these days myself... it's about the celebration of your union and sharing it with close friends and relatives, not padding the wallets of people just out to get rich off of you!! I was planning to get married in January 2007 but we broke up--but our plan was to have 2 songs from a cd of our fav band played on a boom box, and was going to let my friends and family do the picture taking... I've even seen weddings where they used a music box to play it during the ceremony-- very sweet and romantic!

Well, I don't know about the photographer end of things but a good place to check might be the University campus. Try the student center (Davies Center). I can't remember the name of the service, but when I graduated from there a couple years ago a guy I knew ran a pretty good service. The bulletin boards around there should have something. Good luck!

Take the pictures yourself.Let the bride take the pic of groom and vice versa haha.Just joking.Sorry i know it really must be a dilemma.Hey why dont you buy a digital camera and set it on the automatic mode and fix that camera on such a place that it can capture the whole hall/or wherever the marrige is going to take place. My cousine did this as she was unable to find a good yet inexpensive photographer.

Please remember most of the time you get what you pay for! Be careful in choosing a photographer by price. Ask to see their portfolio and references. Remember this is a special day and you can not repeat it.
Sometimes the guest have some of the best pictures. During the reception you can announce a request for the guest the share their best shots with you. This way you can count down on how many pictures you purchase from the photographer as well.

Eau Claire is home to a university. Try checking with the college for any students of photography or communications who are looking for work on the side. Ask for references and samples of their work (for the photographers). Check with your local radio station (especially smaller stations) to see if any of the professional DJ's do work on the side. Check with bars to see who they hire to provide music. Whoever you choose to DJ, be sure to meet with them and go over your expectations for music selection, dress code, volume, timeframe, breaks, etc. Be sure they can provide the music selection you want. Nothing is worse than hiring a DJ and then finding out he only plays country, when you want dance, oldies, and R&B, for example.

Best advice, don't go cheap with either. I did and it cost us. Our photog was having an affair with a girl at the wedding, and before we realized what was happening, the day was almost over and he had taken a total of 96 pictures, 72 of them were from the loft in the church with a stupid yellow crosshair lens. Same pic, over and over, just turned the lens a little each time. When we went to his house to look at the pics, my wife started crying. We had nothing but about 30 average pics for our entire wedding day. Don't be cheap, you get what you pay for.

Hi, although I don't know how to help you, I could tell you jokes to help you feel better. The jokes goes:
-Doctor! I have a serious problem, I can never remember what i just said.
-When did you first notice this problem?
-What problem?
One more joke:
A guy calls his vet and says "What should I do with my cat?Vet says "What do you mean? Guy says "I had a leak in my lawnmowers gas tank and the cat drank the gas. Then the cat began to run around and around the yard, climbed a tree. then fell out of the tree stiff. Vet says "Is the cat dead? Guy replies "nope he ran out of gas.
Last of all just want to tell you that whatever you do, just don't give up. Also you must love and care for the people around you. In that way they will also show you the love that you show to them. Just be yourself and happy everyday. Wish you all the best and good luck!!

I live in EC and am getting married in a month. Our dj isn't really that expensive... we went with Shawtown and if you book them online you get $100 off. We went with T-Bo for photographers... they aren't cheap, but not the most expensive.
