"Arms Of An Angel" by. Sarah Mclachlan

My father passed away shortly before my wedding so I danced with my brother (he's 11 yrs older than me) and still used Daddy's Little Girl, because I know that is what my father would have wanted. It was very hard, though because both my brother and I were crying the whole time. Come to think of it I don't think there was a dry eye in the place.

Other songs that are nice, Wind Beneath My Wings and Butterfly Kisses.

I know the feeling I had a friend whos Father passed away 3 weeks before she got married. She danced with her uncle too and the song they used was "Arms of an Angel". It just fits perfectly. Not a dry eye in the place...Congrats by the way.....Good Luck...

Google search the terms "wedding songs". It'll return dozens of websites of different DJ's and companies that provide music for different types of events. I'm a part time DJ, I do weddings, and it's always very important to sit down with the B & G to choose music. We can hardly be expected to know what to suggest since we don't know you. We have no idea if you want traditinal, country, R&B, Top40, rock or whatever type of music you listen to. With those details, I could probably give you a dozen choices.

I almost answered your other question about music to walk down the aisle to....is your Uncle going to be the one to "Give you away", too?

What a Wonderful World by Louis Armstrong.

WHAT A WONDERFUL WORLD

I see trees of green, red roses too
I see them bloom for me and you
And I think to myself, what a wonderful world

I see skies of blue and clouds of white
The bright blessed day, the dark sacred night
And I think to myself, what a wonderful world

The colours of the rainbow, so pretty in the sky
Are also on the faces of people going by
I see friends shakin' hands, sayin' "How do you do?"
They're really saying "I love you"

I hear babies cryin', I watch them grow
They'll learn much more than I'll ever know
And I think to myself, what a wonderful world
Yes, I think to myself, what a wonderful world

Oh yeah

"Arms of an Angel" or "Wind Beneath my Wings" could work (probably will work) as real tearjerkers.

That could be what you want.

But I like the idea of Louis Armstrong's version of "What a Wonderful World" - very poignant and personal, but not as direct.

Sorry about the loss of your father - good luck on your wedding and marriage.

I just have to say what "beautiful cr." wrote is one of the rudest, most insensitive things I have ever seen posted. Get a conscience!
