Don't worry- she's just getting big and running out of room to move. You'll have your baby in your arms soon!

Some decreased fetal movement is ok, however, you need to make sure and do your fetal kick counts. Lay on your left side and count how long it takes your baby to move 10 times. If she has not moved 10 times within 2 hrs drink something cold and then try it again. Don't wait another 2 hrs though if she doesn't move after you drink something cold call your dr. Better safe than sorry. I don't want to scare you but I have had a stillborn in the past and you need to do your kick counts faithfully. Good luck!

Yes - perfectly normal. Think about it... it's getting pretty tight in there! Also, a lot of babies slow down a week or days before delivery (supposedly they reserve energy for delivery - it takes a lot out of them too!!) I think you're only suppose to have concern if the fetal movements are less than 10 a day. Otherwise they are just like us - some days are better then others - manic cleaning lady one day & couch potato another!

It's normal, you're baby doesn't have a lot of room to move now.
They may be more active on some days than other. If you notice a huge decrease in fetal movements, see your doctor ASAP!

The last month is when your baby gains the most weight, so she's just running out of room. Don't worry, in the next few weeks you will feel her more - not kicking around so much - but putting her limbs in your ribcage or bladder as she's trying to stretch. Best luck for a healthy baby!!

when you start getting to the end of pregnancy you wont feel the baby has much she/he has no room left you will often see a hand or foot protruding they cant punch and kick like they used to has long has your feeling some movements in that day theres nothing to worry about also has your baby dropped yet thats when the baby doesnt move alot aswell.if your worried about your babys moving but not moving alot throughout the day phone your midwife she would get you in and give you a check over or pop into your dr who will be happy to help and tell them your concerns good luck not long till you be holding your little one best wishes

It can be. Baby will enjoy sleeping so as to conserve her energy ready for delivery. Speak to your mid-wife though, as she will be able to give you a kick-chart to monitor how many times a day baby does move around.
You must take advice straight away from your mid-wife.
Good luck with becoming a Mother.x

i remember my dr made me keep a chart and record his movement if you dont feel her move at least 4 times a day (the best time is after you eat) then ask you dr about it.....right before i had my baby (he is 12 weeks) he didnt move as much either and i ended up having to have a c section because he had the cord wrapped around his head arm and neck......so just make sure at least 4 times a day is what they told me....if i didnt feel him move i had to go to the hospital

slowing down is OK, but there has to be a minimum amount of movement (I forget how much). Call your OB's office, or labor & delivery nursing station. A siginificant reduce in fetal movement is of concern, and you need to get checked.
