If you're looking for romance novels here's a few good authors:
Historical - Lisa Kleypas, Sabrina Jeffries, Lynsay Sands
Contemporary - Carly Phillips, Jennifer Crusie, Susan Andersen, Rachel Gibson, Jayne Ann Krentz
I like romance novels because there's a realtionship built by the characters. So by the time there's an erotic scene, it more than just sex. However if all you want is sex then you should probably look for other authors then. Many of the authors listed write books with intelligent heroines who frustrate and tame their men out of the bedroom.

There is a fairly new genre called paranormal romance featuring steamy sex with very hot vampires, werewolves etc. Probably the best know is Laurell K. Hamilton's Anita Blake series. Also Sherrilyn Kenyon. If you look them up on Amazon they will offer you similar books by other authors

A new book, with some . . . er . . . naughty bits, but also an amazingly, complex plot is "The Glass Books of the Dream Eaters" by Gordon Dalhquist. I just finished it, and definitely recommed it. Sexy, smart, funny in parts, poignant in others - a truly remarkable book. It's quite long, but an easy read. (700+ pages hardcover)

The 'Blaze' series of books, published by Mills and Boon, is erotica-lite. You can find details at http://www.millsandboon.co.uk/cgi-bin/millsandboon.storefront/EN/Catalog/1153
The books tend to be available in public libraries and second-hand shops if you don't want to pay full price for them.
