It seems as if everyone has a tatoo these days, particularly if they are under 30-35 years old. So many women have them as well. In my opinion, it brings out the "trashy" element (e.g. white trash, black trash or whatever) in a person. They are going to look horrible years down the road. I am trying to understand this phenomena. Even high school kids have tatoos.

I could care less what people do their bodies, but my opinion about tatoos will never change. I know some great people who have tatoos. I have observed so many that are ugly, out of place, too many, poor quality, etc.
And another thing, why do black people get tatoos? I them on the subway and I can't even make out what the design is. Now that is a waste. This obviously isn't true for all black people's tatoos.

Tattooing will never go away, so you might as well get used to it. Not everyone gets them because they're trendy either. I currently have three. Each one has a specific meaning for me that will never change. Even if my body changes to they point that they look terrible, it won't matter to me because the original reason I got them will always remain the same. The meanings are personal only to me and who cares what anyone else's thoughts are...

Dude, relax. People have different styles and if they want to get a tattoo they will. You are just ignorant. I have a half sleeve and many people tell me that it is beautiful. Believe me, it is not trashy at all. You have to get a good artist to make it look really nice. I get a lot of older people who ask me what the inspiration was and how the colors and detail are amazing. You have no idea why people get a tattoo. What if a person got a tattoo to remember someone they lost? Are you going to tell them it is trashy? Just don't judge anymore. Remember, you didn't get it.

It will always be around as it always has been. It will only ebb and flow as all things do such as fashion and wars etc etc. The tatts will not all look horrible years down the road. Depends on who does them and with what quality inks and how detailed or not the image is and WHERE it is located.

I do not think that the tatoo trend well be going away..It well stay forever and there is really nothing that anybody can do about that..

Everything goes in cycles. Beards, tatoos, piercings, fashion (all fads).

I guess they won't go away until all the persons with tatoos are dead. Maybe not soon enough.

I think the tattoo phase is going to get worse. With so many options, there is a tattoo out there for everyone.

I don't think it will ever go away because the people that have them can't get rid of them. I agree with you though, my opinion is I won't ever get one but to each their own, for those who have them, more power to 'em. It's their body and they can do what they want as long as it doesn't hurt anyone (my husband has two and it doesn't bother me one little bit).

What decade are you living in??? tattoos are not trashy, they are art.
If women want to express their artistic individuality by getting tattoo, then GOOD FOR THEM. It's not your body why should you care.
If you don't like them then don't get any, and get over yourself.
