people keep saying that if you love someone you have to trust them. but why? why can't i love someone but not trust them? i can certainly trust someone but not love them, why can't it be the other way round? i love my rabbit very very much, but i don't trust that if i leave him by himself he won't destroy the house, so maybe i don't love him?

Thats kind of a tough question , really. Let me put it this way, Trust is a blind emotion, you have to go on what is being told to you from the person you love. Yes, you can love someone and not trust them. But why would you, if you cant trust them, thats nothing but real "relationship" problems. In that manner, yes trust has to be there, for all the times yall wouldnt be together. Its also got to do with knowing the person you are with, if you know them and can "read" people, then trust just comes with the love. I hope this clears it up for you.

I think there are different versions of love and trust in many relationships.
When you love someone you left your gaurd down and trust that they will not hurt you and that you can trust them with your life.
However concerning animals that is a different story you can love your pet but you can't trust that they wouldn't bite you or someone else.
humans have reasoning, in situations unlike some animals that don't go threw some situations that we do.

You cannot compare the love you feel for a human to the love you feel for a rabbit. It's like saying you love someone like you love cake. That's so stupid. Anyway, If you love someone you have to trust that they love you as well.

Love and trust are partners in a satisfying committed relationship. You can and do love people that you don't trust..........Trust is earned but continuing faithful acts...........yet is anyone 100% trustworthy............we all disappoint and get disappointed.....................some better questions:

What actions am I not willing to ever tolerate in my relationships.

Does my partner have to be perfect for me to love

How should i respond to being betrayed or disappointed

What is the character of the person I claim to love and is that ccharacter worthy of my trust even if it fails me occasionally

You need to trust someone to love someone. Here is a different kind of love - but when a child loves their parent, they trust their parent.

You can lust someone with trusting them, but to love someone you need to trust and respect that person........

I think that love and trust do go together. You have to trust what your heart and gut says. I guy can be very desieving and trick you or your feelings, you just have to trust your intuitions and gut.

If you're going to allow yourself to love someone (truly love someone) then you need to trust that they aren't going to hurt you. You can love someone without trusting them but its not very smart on your part.

Put it this way:
In life you will find that you mostly love those with whom you deeply trust and trust those with whom you deeply love.
You can love w/o trust and trust w/o love, but it will always be surface and never deep.
