I was looking at offering a guy Brian Westbrook (RB - Phi) for Warrick Dunn (RB - Atl).

Do you think this would be beneficial to me? Him?

My thoughts were that Dunn had 1416 Yards rushing and 200 yards receiving with only 3 rushing and 1 receiving touchdown. But with TJ Duckett gone, he'd probably increase the rushing TDs by at least a half dozen and possibly increase his rushing yards.

Westbrook, on the other hand, will get a lot of carries for Philly but he's injury prone and could possibly be a bust.

Thoughts?

Chris Brown (RB - Ten) is my 3rd RB.

My leage does not give PPR, just 1 point per 20 Receiving/Rushing yards.

Getting dunn for westbrook would be a very good trade if your leage does not give points for catches. Warrick Dunn is probably the only running back on the Falcons who will see playing time this year (barring any injuries) while westbrook is going to share some of the workload with a couple of guys (Buckhalter has looked pretty good in preseason).

If your leage does give a point per catch, it will probably be a wash since westbrook will be the leading receiver for the eagles again this year, but Dunn will kill him in rushing yards and TD's.

the perception has always been that Dunn can't be a #1 or #2 back in fantasy. He's been going 3rd round (#28-36) where Westbrook is more explosive and highly sought (going around #18-12).

I think it's a fair swap, but you should ask for something more just based on draft position alone (maybe package a #3 WR for a #2 as well).

Warrick Dunn is a much better choice. His TDs will increase and the eagles last year only ran the ball 40% of the time while the falcons almost 60%

If you can swing it do it. They are very even but Dunn is the better back in my book. Westbrook has been hurt the past two years, while Dunn has been mostly healthy.

Dunn gets the slight edge, so if you can do it, do it.

Why would you do that. Westbrook is back, and heathly. He's going to be really good this year. And Dunn doesn't score enough touchdowns. He gets yardage, but no TD's.

Sound like a good deal. The only thing that would stop me is if your league is a PPR. Regardless of the Westbrook risk, he will catch a lot of passes.

if i was you I would take that deal. Westbrook is McNabb number one guy. He will diffently score more touchdowns then dunn.
