I'm probably going to the woods to scout for dead trees to make my firewood for this winter. I need to find a different woods as my family and I have pretty much cleared all the dead wood from our usual spot. I like to find a woods where the fallen trees are hung up in other trees thus giving me dry wood that has not settled in the dirt and partially rotted from moisture. When the fallen trees are partly in the air,they are also easier to cut and load the"rounds" up on my pickup to haul to the splitter.

Driving to Jackson, MS to visit my folks this weekend. I'm taking my son to a waterpark saturday and a Saint's exhibition game saturday night. Sunday we'll drive back.
