Synergy is the formation of 2 or more entities that merge to create something of greater effect. The outcome of synergy is ussually estimated by the individual input of each party that is to be merged.
The use of Synergy is ussually for the mutaul benefit of 2 entities, and the most common form of Synergy found in our day and age, and you hear it alot in movies and in the news is Corporate Synergy(I.E. Dilbert).
Corporate synergy occurs when corporations decide to work together to attain something of a near trust(this is a way to bypass anti trust laws). This tactic refers to a financial benefit that a corporation expects to attain when it merges with or acquires another corporation. Corporate synergy is a a corporate acquisition and is a negotiating point between the buyer and seller that impacts the final price both parties agree to. <---- ussually means lay offs and raise in price of stock for either the buyer company or the seller company or the company that is being consumed.
There are two types of Corporate synergy:
Type one: The Companies merge to create a financial gain.
Type two: One or both/more companies experience high costs thus they merge to lower costs by merging together resources (in this type of Synergy EXTREME Downsizing is to be expected)
