I agree. At my university one day, there were big banners hanging all around that said "It's Wear Denim if You're Gay Day!" So I looked around and lo and behold, 50% of the people were wearing denim! I had no idea so many people were gay!
The nazis did the same thing with the swastika. The swastika is actually a religious symbol, but once the nazis started using it the innocent symbol took on a whole new connotation.
If the gays are doing anything, they're making people unconfortable. No minority or cause should take something that common/mundane and associate it with themselves, because that ruins the original value for everyone.

I don't associate rainbows with that whatsoever. In middle school rainbows on white shirts were really popular for about six months, about 24 years ago. Most of them I have ever seen have also been on Christian calendars or else in the natural world. So no matter what people try to say it means, they are just going to get a disbelieving smile from me. (Shakes head.)

True! I love rainbows and think they are so pretty, but now if you buy something with a rainbow on it everyone thinks youre a lesbian! i mean the rainbow was a promise from God, so why would lesbians want to turn it into their sign! they shouldve come up with something original! guess they arent very creative - must be butch!

i agree - i'm sad those people corrupted the rainbow.
however, for me it's only the drawings of rainbows, not actual rainbows, not even pictures of actual rainbows, just their stupid drawings of them. Also, however, those people have corrupted more than rainbows, which is even sadder.

No, cause I can distinguish the difference. The Gay Pride rainbow colors are more bold. The actual rainbow is light.

I don't think of homosexuality. They just need something to call their colors so they decided to use the rain bow. I alway thing of the bible and how god put the rain bow in the sky to remind people of why he would not flood the word again. The homos just try to take it for them selves I refuse to do that.

maybe we misinterpreted 'god's promise', and god's promise was to create these wonderful gay humans to bring new ideas into our conscieousness. Maybe gay people were god's real gift to humanity, and not some silly allegory about flooding the world.
Now doesn't that seem a whole lot nicer than the narrow-minded hateful view of the religious right. People that are different from you shouldn't be hated, but embraced.

I don't. I seldom think about homosexuality unless one is right before my eyes. Then I think...'Oh! Gay man (or woman).'
