I am just starting my 16th week of pregnancy, and I am so ready to feel my baby move. I was a little overweight before becoming pregnant, so when might I feel my baby move for the first time?? What would it feel like?? thanks.

I felt the baby move when I was twenty weeks. However, normal wemon start to feel it around the 18 week. When I first felt my daughter move I didn't know what is was I thought it was gas. That next night though I felt what was like alittle flutter and I knew exactly what it was! When it happens you will porbably know and I don't know about you but I balled my eyes out!

I had to pull out my records again (I write everything down) and found that I felt baby movement around 12-18 weeks. Baby movements are most commonly mistaken for gas. I mistook mine for gas. But once you start feeling the same feeling in your tunny everyday, you'll know it's the baby moving and you'll be able to differentiate it from gas. It just feels like a movement. Like gas moving through your stomach except that it's not gas, it's your baby :-) Its really hard to tell at first, especially if this is your first child. It might even feel like a thump/thud in your belly. But after a while, you'll get used to the movement...and you'll become more and more excited about meeting your new baby. I know I did! :-)

It will take a couple more weeks if you are heavy. It feels like a muscle twitch or a bubble bouncing in your belly. It took me a while to feel my first baby move. I could feel the 2nd baby move at 15 weeks. If you drink a little diet coke or something, lay on you left side, and take deep breaths, it can encourage movement. Have fun!

You should start feeling it anytime now in the next couple of weeks depending on how "little" overweight you were. For me it felt like a flutter, or a bubble when I first noticed movement. It's amazing!

It feels like butterflies or bubbles. Some times it kind of feels like gas. You should start to feel it soon.

You can expect the lovely movements anytime from now on. It does not matter if you are a little overweight.
