Please be certain that any plant your iguana eats is pesticide free and has never been sprayed. My iguana loves rose petals among other treats, (dandelions, hubiscus) but i am the caretaker of the plants and do not spray them.

Umm, they probably could eat the flowers themselves but I would bet that they won't.
I have tried feeding sunflower petals to several different herbivorous reptiles & they usually ignore them. Most will take hibiscus flowers, rose petals & nasturtiums & chicory flowers & some others.
But I have never been successful getting a reptile to eat either sunflower leaf or flower petals.

Petals yes, seeds probably a bad idea. Dried sunflower petals are actually ingredients in some commercial iggy foods

i dunno but even if it eats a sunflower it won't get sick
