She STILL gets roles as the sexpot.
Funny thing is SHE NEVER WAS!
She's like someone's mom or something.
Even in Rocky Horror - she was kind of attractive, but not too much.
Now she's old and.... not sexy at all.
There are so many good looking actresses to choose from and she's still in the business --- aaargh!

Susan Sarandon was and is very pretty. I think a better question would be why is Steven Segal still put in these roles as the hero/ tough guy, when actually he looks more like a geriatric stay puff marshmellow man.

It's a issue of taste. To one man she may not be all that but to another man she is. I think she sorta has that "good girl" or now "good granny image" which is what some men like.
I thought she was cute in Rocky Horror but if I were a guy I would have went for Megenta. Meeeooowwww

even i wonder why on earth she was cast opposite a handsome guy like richard gere, who looks so debonair, gliding up with a rose in his hand, to express his love to susan, his wife, who loks as if she has just gotten out of her sleep ! totally miscast. she was good in that movie, those two women, fighting for their liberation or whatever, ultimately plunging in the sea, in the movie, yess, i remember now, thelma an louise ! she was o.k. in stepmom, but some how, i never thought as you mention, a sex pot or something, far from it .
i am not her fan, but would say, she has a way with her big, expressive eyes. but still, what was she doing in shall we dance ? no wonder, richard was enchanted by jlo !

I think you're missing the point. If you see sex as purely physical then in today's perspective of Paris Hilton, Susan would never be sexy to you. But if you're looking for someone who is obviously up for some Rumble in the Jungle, she's your girl.

who knows! i really have never thought of her as being "pretty"!but i guess some people see her as being pretty. we all look at people and have our own oinions about people! so let all of the people out there that thinks she is a sexpot keep on thinking that! nothing wrong with that! you may think that halle berry is a sexpot and someone else may not! just all a matter of preference!

I wouldn't consider her a "sexpot" by any means, but she does look good for her age! She is an attractive woman, and a great actress. I like her, but I agree with you. She's not all that sexy.
